Photo of Unrest taken in 1993, posted just because every once in a while people should be reminded that they were one of the greatest bands ever to exist. Consider yourself reminded. Also this picture is funny. (Taken in London, outside some hotel during a 4AD mini-festival).

New movie “Bitchkram” (it means “Bitch-hug” in English, but it’s a made up word, which plays into the plot, but we don’t want to give too much away). From our friend Andreas. Who is Swedish. Which explains the fact that the trailer is in Swedish, without English subtitles. But we think you’ll get the drift. Looks great!

Reminder that, for those of you allergic to insanely cool vinyl artifacts (or maybe don’t have a turntable, or are broke), you can get the virtual version of the Basket of Masks EP for free (or whatever price you feel like paying, from zero to infinity). Just click on the photo or this link right here.

Emma Stone in the July issue of American Vogue, photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Tonne Goodman.

File under: Love but will probably never wear

It’s my dream one day to own enough books and bookshelves that I require a ladder to retrieve some of them. Something like this, for instance. The V. Woolf portrait is a nice touch. As is the French press. -JG

Thanks to a (likely inadvertertent) lapse in taste by New York Tyrant publisher Giancarlo DiTrapano, Détective’s James Greer was interviewed at some length for VICE, which in general deals with much worthier subject matter than him.

In any case, should you be so inclined, you can read the interview here.
